Engineered Garments FW13 in The New Order Magazine Vol.9

I haven’t had the chance to check out The New Order Magazine Vol.9 for myself yet, but I did come across this editorial featuring garments from EG Fw13 and some familiar faces from the Nepenthes camp. I really like the casual photo style here and the inclusion of both louder patterned items with more subtle gear. The magazine cover story is a feature on Jun Takahashi so it seems like the latest volume of the publication is well worth purchasing.

Pretty Canadian girl in WTAPS AND NEIGHBORHOOD so you know I had to post this right. Model Emma-Mackenzie Jardine is shot by Jan-Michael Stasiuk for Haven in the select items. I definitely need one of the WTAPS logo hoodies in my life and that Neighborhood incense chamber is one of the coolest collectable branded items I’ve seen this year. NEPENTHES FW13 Editorial ‘With Morgan’

NEPENTHES has consistently brought strong visual presentation to the table to accompany each season’s selections. The latest from the Japanese retailer is this editorial entitled ‘With Morgan’. There’s a general mood of exploration and nature throughout these photos. NEPENTHES vintage references are clearly on display in the selection of items which include denim shirts, mohair sweaters and patterned blazers.

GRIND WTAPS FW13 Editorial

GRIND Magazine from Japan pulls pieces from the Fall/Winter 2013 WTAPS collection for this editorial. The model is Japanese actor Yosuke Kubozuka who is no stranger to modeling for streetwear brands such as Supreme. There’s some great outerwear featured and standouts include the cowichan sweater and the navy B-15 jacket. See the rest of the looks after the jump.

The “Restless East” Editorial by Rick Genest

HYPEBEAST produced this editorial in collaboration with Zomby Boy ‘Rick Genest’. An inspiration for the shoot was the Jiangshi (think the undead) identity within Asian folklore. The cityscape of Hong Kong plays it’s role as a gritty urban backdrop against the plush luxurious pieces from 3.1 Phillip Lim, ETRO and Burberry Prosum that Genest wears. Also should mention that the cameo appearance by a very cute baby makes this editorial more memorable than most.

Saint Laurent FW14 Editorial w/ Tadanobu Asano

Honeyee presents their take on the Fall/Winter 2014 Saint Laurent Paris collection by inviting famed Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano to model. Asano has starred in films including Ichi the Killer and Thor and is a household name in Japan. The best piece here is the leather rider, but Asano also pulls off the varsity and is in the 1% of human beings who can wear a white fur overcoat well.

Undercover FW13 ANATOMICOUTURE Editorial

Honeyee released this smoke-filled editorial featuring select looks from the Undercover FW13 collection which we previously posted HERE. I get a Robert Smith vibe off the styling here. It’s always nice when collections are more displayed a bit more creatively through editorials as opposed to look books Standout pieces are the ribcage sweater/cardigan combo, the plaid wool suit and the red wool overcoat. If you’re having a depressing 2013, picking up some pieces from UC Fall/Winter 2013 should make you feel a bit better about yourself just be ready to shell out.
