Haven and EG have teamed up on a collection of winter essentials that combine the materials that Engineered Garments like to use with the design sensibilities of Haven’s own in-house label. The ‘Cascadia’ jacket is a play on the normal Engineered Garments BDU but with an asystermic pocket design that’s inpsired by the t. Canadian Military MK2 jacket. Jacket featuring four large cargo pockets, a semi-concealed placket, asymmetrical elbow reinforcement and a drawstring hem. We modernize the material construction with Stotz EtaProof ripstop. This adds a bit more weather resistant than typically found on military style shirting. It’s available alongside other items from the collaboration.

Souvenir jackets have had a surge in popularity since the movie drive was released. Plenty of Japanese labels have done their own variation on the style and of course there are plenty of excellent vintage options that you can find on eBay. Unused is a japanese label that puts a modern spin and fit on vintage. Their take on this style is noticably minimal, there’s no back graphic or stitching, just a tasteful cropped fit and a reversible style that let’s you switch from a more contrasted black/white ribbed style to a more incognito murdered out version. 100% rayon construction and knit collar and cuffs round out what make for an excellent piece. Available now at Haven.
With editorials, I prefer to see different brands are mixed together in creative ways. For FW15 Haven has chosen to highlight it’s Arc’Teryx Veilance selection by styling it together with pieces from likes of sacai, C.E, TAKAHIROMIYASHITA The SoloIst., Needles, OAMC, wings + horns, and Visvim. The juxtaposition of the minimal technical pieces against these different brands offers relatable and inspiring cold weather looks. If you’re looking for new ideas in regards to layering, this editorial is a must see. Check the full editorial after the jump.
