Nike ID Air Max 90’s

For one reason or another I’ve never tried customizing my own pair of Nike IDs until now. I was always a bit put off by the wait time and I suppose I was waiting to get inspired.  A few weeks ago I really wanted another pair of Air Max 90’s so I pulled the trigger on this design. The design is inspired by the Air Max 90 Infrareds. My goal is to make the whole shot lighter and more minimal feeling.

I basically took the parts on the shoe which were originally black and switched them out for white. The color on the IDs doesn’t exactly match that of the infrareds and I wasn’t able to keep the red on the actual soles. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with the way these came out and excited to wear them constantly. The quality on the IDs are passible but I was a little disappointed with some of the stitching (particularly around the plastic part that reads Air Max). Definitely enjoyed the actual process of bringing the sneaker from concept to reality and I really hope that they put Air Max 95’s back on the Nike ID website.

LN-CC Levi’s Red Archive

First introduced in 1999, Levi’s RED is a concept collection by Levi’s that is dedicated to reinventing the iconic Levi’s 5-pocket jean and proposing new forms and aesthetics for jeanswear.

LN-CC will be the exclusive worldwide stockist for the first Levi’s RED collection to be released in seven years and to commemorate they have curated a small archive of the first Levi’s RED collection from ’99 ‘Twisted RED.’ The most striking aspect of the collection is how the brand played around with the  fit and proportion of the denim, while maintaing the ‘heritage’ look. 

The 2014 ‘Lined RED’ collection draws its inspiration from Levi’s long history of lining many of the denim styles with cleanly nished blanket fabrics or sheep’s wool as early as 1879 and each piece will n, each denim garment is fully lined with indigo-coloured cotton silk. Silent Whisper Product Review

I was first started tracking Silent Whisper several months back and you may remember the initial post I made about the brand. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of using several items from the line. I gave all three items I received thorough use and I have to say I like them better now than when I first received them (which is the opposite of what usually happens). The above photo is how the package came as you can see there’s some serious attention to detail paid here. The T-shirt came inside plastic bag and the whole package was stored inside either the dust bag or branded cardboard box. It felt great opening up the mail that day and seeing what was there from the handwritten labels to how carefully each item had been packed. I have to admit that my accessories game is kind of weak and I’ve been looking for a reliable and affordable leather goods brand that I can turn to time and again. I’m happy to report that I may have found it in Silent Whisper. In this review I tackle the following items:

Neighborhood FW13 Releases

Neighborhood is a brand which has evolved with it’s audience. In recent years the Japanese label has moved away from it’s streetwear leanings and into developing more refined product.  I was browsing the Neighborhood webshop earlier tonight and saw that there were plenty of jackets, knits, shirts and accessories that I would love to own  . I thought I’d share some of my picks with you, be sure to check that amazing Buffalo knit which is a collabo with Kaneda.

Nike Air Pegasus 83/30 “Mineral Teal”

Nike has been playing around with the Air Pegasus quite a bit a year, as 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of the runner. The 83/30 version of the sneaker uses more modern materials (see the PRM tape on the seams) and slightly updates the shape of the sneaker. There’s been a few dope colorways of the 83/30 already this year, but this may be the best yet.
