A great tote bag is indispensable but it can be hard to find something that’s both functional and fits in with your personal style. This tote from Hender Scheme is pretty minimal with a subtle light tan color with canvas and leather details. With 3 total pockets (one internal) and a huge carry capacity this will have more than enough room to fit everything you need for the whole day. Check it over at END.
We may have hit peak cross-body bag in 2018, but in 2019 a functional easy to throw on bag is still a necessity. As always, Rick Owens places his own signature on the style with this Alien bag by DRKSHDW. Crafted in tan canvas, it includes external Velcro and zip pockets and a laminated window enclosing a photographic print and a patch that reads ‘Aliens’. The theme fits in with the larger SS19 collection which focuses around the paranormal.

Porter is one of the most reliable names for durable, well-constructed bags. They have linked up with fellow Japanese accessory experts Foot the Coacher. While Foot the Coacher is best known for their sneakers, the collaboration allows them to put the same level of attention to a selection of backpacks and waist bags.
The backpacks come in three different styles and are constructed from Cordura ripstop, high-density nylon and leather. Zip pockets, drawstring entry, adjustable buckles and an assortment of storage options gear up for high functionality. The two waist bag styles come in either Cordura ripstop or black nylon and have tons of compartments and design details. The only downside of the collection is the pricing as these won’t come cheap with pricing in the $400-700USD range. Shop the collection over at HAVEN.

WTAPS brings out these new carrying pouches as part of it’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection. These bags are made from durable nylon, these pouches should be helpful in carrying small items from point and shoot cameras to any small travel items. There’s a double-zip fastening at the main compartment with two external pockets and an adjustable body strap. These are also reminiscent of the fantastic WTAPS x Porter collabs that came out in the mid 2000s. It’s been a while since WTAPS put out accessories like this so be sure to snatch them up before they sell out. Both colorways are available at END Clothing.
I find that backpacks are the my favorite way to carry essential items from point A to B. If you’re looking for a new well designed pack, I’ve selected some of the best of the season below.

The two signature two pocket design is now in standard Porter nylon along with some nice detailing : brass hardware, cowhide trim and tonal stitching. Marni Grey Felt and Leather Backpack
If you’re feeling a bit too grown for a backpack, you may want to go with something a bit more luxe and low-key like this grey felt bag by Marni. A really pared down design that is mainly led by it’s materials. Grey felt wool and contrasting black leather panels. This backpack is job-interview approved.

Balenciaga Classic Traveller Backpack
Balenciaga outfits their Classic Traveller bacckpack in forest green nylon with black leather accents. This is definetly at a luxury designer pricepoint so it isn’t for everyone, but it definetly would pair well with a clean techy wardrobe full of items from Dries, MMM, Jil Sander and Raf. While you may have to be part of the ruling class to afford this thing, those of you can who can pull it should be able to put together some great outfits using it.

Not much is known about accessories label Silent Whisper. From the small number of online communications that have been released , we can piece together some key information on the secretive Asia-based outfit. Silent Whisper produces a variety of leather goods : belts, bags, bracelets, necklaces and wallets.
The leather items are carefully crafted and in most cases, handsewn. The look is decidedly raw and this is further emphasized by the distressed materials and gloomy industrial visuals released through their tumblr and other outlets. There’s also a strong militaristic presence in the brands visual language that’s hard to place a finger on, but works on a very personal level for me. Considering the apparent quality of the pieces, the price-points are incredibly fair. Small leather goods and accessories start at around $50. Belts and larger wallets will run you in the $100-$150 range and bags around $500. Look out for more in-depth coverage of the line in the coming days.
Two days ago in Paris, Raf Simons showed his fall/winter 2013 collection. The bags at the show were the result of the forth collaboration between Eastpak and the Beglian designer. The first collection of Raf Eastpaks was one of my favorite accessories collections ever so I always look forward to seeing what these two brands are able to create together.
This time around Raf re-invents EASTPAK’s iconic backpack shilouette through silky Jacquard looms with satiny belts and embroidered logos. Other design touches include blind hems and the hidden stitching.
EASTPAK X RAF SIMONS #4 collection will be available on June 2013, in differents colors developped in limited edition : 6 stripped patterns and 7 color blocks (purple, navy blue, black/silver, and brown/navy blue).

Coveted is a regular feature where I introduce rare pieces that I own or come across.
This Undercover/Undercoverism unisex leather bag has a design inspired by “Perfecto” style leather rider jackets. It comes in a fantastic buttery calf-leather and is lined with maroon corduroy and cupro. A rare accessory from the FW08 collection ‘Unreal Real Clothes’. This particular bag originally came in brown leather but was professionally re-colored black.
