Visvim FW13 Collection

This preview of Visvim’s Fall/Winter 2013 doesn’t introduce many surprising new styles but it does show the ongoing evolution of brand staples. As is to be expected there’s ton of great outerwear:from the M-65 style Kilgore jacket to the Gore-Tex Valdez fur-lined parka. The FBTs return in some very solid colorways and there’s some Skagways to please the sneaker crowd. Honeyee always does an excellent job at capturing the detail in product shots. The cowichan sweater near the end is a testament to how seriously Hiroki takes product manufacturing. Make sure you click through to see all the pieces.

Undercover Men’s SS14 Collection

Designers usually choose to add  colors to their Spring/Summer collections and keep Fall/Winter collections monochromatic. Jun Takahashi reverses this trend with Undercoverism SS14.  The collection is murdered out for the most part, and features a consistent shape; slim-cut long tops and jackets with skinny trousers or jeans. It seems like Jesus and the Mary Chain was an audio inspiration to the line with jackets emblazoned with ‘I’ll be a Plastic Toy’ and ‘Pyscho Candy’.

The collection shares much of the same DNA as the SS14 womenswear collection which was unveiled in Paris. The leather rider jackets here are excellent (as to be expected from UC) but there are some great looking basics in here as well (the longsleeves which fit slightly long and oversized come to mind). While leather accents on clothes is something the men’s market doesn’t need any more of, there’s plenty of that here too. All in all while presentation and styling seem a bit uninspired, there’s still plenty here that’ll worth buying come next year.

Neighborhood & WTAPS FW13 Editorial

Pretty Canadian girl in WTAPS AND NEIGHBORHOOD so you know I had to post this right. Model Emma-Mackenzie Jardine is shot by Jan-Michael Stasiuk for Haven in the select items. I definitely need one of the WTAPS logo hoodies in my life and that Neighborhood incense chamber is one of the coolest collectable branded items I’ve seen this year. Shop these pieces on Haven and see more photos after the jump.

Goodhood FW13 “Them Bones” Lookbook

UK based Goodhood Store kills it with the styling for their Fall/Winter 2013 lookbook. I spot a bunch of dope NEIGHBORHOOD pieces (including one of my denim jacket selections for the season) sprinkled in with stuff by Norse Projects, Junya Watanabe and of course the in-house Goodhood label. The UK e-retailer game is very strong right now and Goodhood is one of those outlets leading the pack. See more after the jump

Palace Skateboards x The Rig Out FW13 Editorial

Palace Skateboarding has quickly risen the street/skate wear ranks through a combination of thoughtful product and hard-hitting skate videos. Coming off collaborations with Reebok and Umbro the line has continued to grow globally with it’s core skate audience as well as the fashion set.  This  editorial was done in collaboration with The Rig Out Magazine  and features skater Lucien Clarke hanging around London. Most of the gear is standard skate fare: hoodies, t-shirts and caps but there’s also some inspired takes on everything from bucket hats to down jackets. While obvious comparisions to Supreme are inevitable for this label, I feel the British influence is enough to set it apart from what labels are doing here in the states.

You can purchase select pieces from the collection at Supply Australia.

NEPENTHES has consistently brought strong visual presentation to the table to accompany each season’s selections. The latest from the Japanese retailer is this editorial entitled ‘With Morgan’. There’s a general mood of exploration and nature throughout these photos. NEPENTHES vintage references are clearly on display in the selection of items which include denim shirts, mohair sweaters and patterned blazers.

More detail shots from this editorial can be seen on the NEPENTHES website. The images are divided into 6 themes: cloudly, haze, horses, forest, grass and fields.
