In past interviews, C.E brand founders Sk8thing and Toby Feltwell stated that they saw themselves as outside the traditional fashion system in Japan, so it’s not surprising that their presentation for their Spring/Summer 2015 felt more like an subterranean nightclub than a runway show. Backed by a DJ set by Rezzett and eye-grabbing visuals by Bacon , the full presentation is worth experiencing for the music and also a glimpse at what’s to come from the streetwear label.

C.E has gained a cult following after several strong seasons of graphic-based streetwear. Taking off-beat themes on their clothing has become a trademark and the brand continues to pull from everything from dytopian sci-fi novels to military replications and net-art style imagery. Without much announcement or fanfare, C.E dropped a small range of items from their Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Familar styles such as the ‘simulation shirt’ and the usual coaches jacket and t-shirts and crewnecks make their return. Prices seem to have also dropped a little bit compared to past seasons. Definitely curious to see how the rest of the collection shapes up.

Available now online at Cavempt.

C.E (Cav Empt) just released a lookbook for their Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The lookbook is done in the same visual style as this previously released video. Fans of the Japanese label may recognize some of the pieces which have already released, but it is nice to see select pieces styled together in these stills. Having had experience with several pieces of line I definitely highly recommend any of the graphic hoodies and crewnecks. The quality of printing found on the digitial sublimation T-shirts (such as the Burnbike or Gunpizz t-shirts) and button down shirts  is top notch as well. You can shop the collection through C.E Directly or through  North American stockists VFILES, Bdga, Wildstyle LA and RSVP Gallery.

C.E (CAVEMPT) has just released a video showcasing items from their Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The visual features a variety of cropped detail shots of the pieces in slow motion. To me it really gave off the feeling of what attending a C.E presentation in person must be like. The music and visual effects serve as useful additions; adding atmosphere to the clip’s otherwise straightforward style. It’s nice to see the C.E looks head to toe like this in such a clear video (particularly in contrast to prior videos C.E has put out). I definitely enjoyed seeing this video much more than most ‘fashion’ videos out there.

C.E is a hard brand to pin down as it really stands at the intersection of all these disparate influences. The quality of the garments keep it from entering gimmicky territory. I got to check these Spring pieces when they were samples were on display at the brand’s New York Showroom and I hope to share snaps from that with you shortly.

You can start purchasing select spring pieces now directly from C.E’s webshop. I’ve listed my personal favorite pieces below:

FADE SWEAT

PLAGUE HEAVY HOODY

GLOVE by Ashram Japan

PVC #3 Jacket

When it comes to straight forward streetwear, few brands are doing it better than C.E right now. I’m happy to own a handful of pieces from the label and I’ve mostly found the quality, fit and detailing to be best in class when it comes to streetwear basics such as tees, hoodies and crewnecks. They paired up with fellow Japanese label Beauty & Youth for a small capsule collection of items featuring an ‘eyes’ motif.

The release date for the capsule collection is Jan 28 at Beauty & Youth stores around Japan. If interested in finding out more about C.E this interview with co-founder Toby Feltwell is a must-read.

RSVP Gallery in Chicago just dropped an selection of items from CAVEMPT. The release included the ziggurat patch sweatshirt, a light white synthetic jacket and the brown MA-1 style bomber jacket. Many items from C.E seem to be selling briskly on other webshops so you may want to hurry if one of these pieces catches your eye.

Japanese retailer The Collective Square teamed up with rap collective Phony PPL for this shoot on the streets of Manhattan. The clique stays in the Spring/Summer 2013 collection from C.E. One piece stands above the other for me, the tan gradient parka looks like it’s an excellent outerwear piece for the summer.

You can shop the collection online at The Collective Square along with other brands including NEXUS VII, Bedwin, Deluxe and Phenomenon. More looks after the jump.

C.E has released a lookbook featuring their spring/summer collection. As in the prior videos, the pieces are modeled by Zomby. If you’re looking for an elevated take on streetwear that is still fairly priced, C.E delivers just that. The brand has not really made it’s way to North American shores just yet but you can now find a sampling of the line over at the Hypebeast store.

More looks after the jump including the white coaches jacket which is the highlight for me.

Zomby provides the music and modeling for this C.E (CAVEMPT) Spring/Summer 2013 Video lookbook. C.E is designed by the braintrust of streetwear veterans SK8THING, Hishi and Toby Feltwell. The video continues to play off the usage of scrolling animated backgrounds and 90’s style computer generated graphics. The assortment of items is once again based on streetwear staples (hoodies, chinos, and militaristic jackets). What has always impressed me about C.E is the cut of the garments which just have a right amount of bagginess to them.
