Everyone lost it when they first saw the Undercover Nike React Element 87. With a slim profile and deconstructed aesthetic, the React Element 87 was a bit reminiscent of the transparent nature of the Zoom Fly SP. But with Jun Takahashi’s guidance we received some excellent color ways of this sneaker. While the original word was that Nike was going to release  five color ways of the sneakers, it appears now that Nike has pivoted away from that and are now releasing 2 of the pairs as a general release. The silhouette will release on its own in this sail/red version as well as a simple black/white iteration. Instagram user gc911 has posted a series of detailed shots of anticipated release.

Click through for more information and images of  the release. Select Nike retailers will be releasing this sneaker on June 14 for $170USD.

Undercover is bringing out four new color ways of a new sneaker model called the Element 87. While the Gyakusou initiative has brought out new color ways of Nike models, it seems that Jun has been given even more creative freedom this time around. The react running sole is combined with a translucent t shell upper, exterior taping on the heel, an exposed lace collar, and trail-running style laces. All five color ways of the sneaker are expected to drop in Fall 2018, see all of them after the jump.

The Jordan 1 is a hard sneaker not to love due to it’s pedigree and simplicity. While there’s already been quite a lot of color ways released this year, May brings a new pack features four sneakers with the color blocking of the popular “Black Toe” and Fragment iterations. The difference this time around is that suede is used on the heel of the sneaker to compliment the leather throughout the rest of the shoe. This group is expected to release on May 5, 2018 for $160USD. Some of the color ways are limited to certain regions and a breakdown of the release information is below.

  • Asia Pacific and Latin America: Track Red and Yellow Ochre

  • Europe, Middle East and Africa: Track Red and Yellow Ochre

  • Greater China: Clay Green and Track Red

  • North America: Blue Moon and Clay Green

Comme des Garçons Black is a lesser known sub-line from the Japanese company. The label focuses on re-issues of classic Comme designs in a simple monochromatic color assortment.  A new collaboration with streetwear Nike giant features mens and womenswear, the capsule mixes Nike’s penchant for streetwear graphics and mixes them with CdG styling. The most captivating piece from the collection is the tech-friendly anorak and the track pants overlaid with a a pika-dot skirt design. Also launching along with the collaboration is a new color way of the archival Nike Night Track model with a patent leather heel.

Check back soon for pricing and availability, as the collection is expected to hit retailers including Dover Street Market and Hong Kong’s I.T , click through for more images.

ACRONYM dropped all three color ways of their collaborative Vapormax 2 Moc on their site today. The co-branded Nike shoe is the fourth collection of sneakers to date between the two brands. The collection features three color ways, two of which were just unveiled in today’s drop on the ACRNM website. Look for the sneakers to drop at Nike retailers on the following dates. The light bone color way of the sneaker drops March 24 and the other two color ways drop on May 15.

Nike even put out a spaghetti style western teaser vid staring John Mayer and Errolson which I’ve linked below

The Nike Air Max 180 is a classic model that hasn’t gotten much attention in recent years. That’s about to change now with this COMME des GARCONS HOMME version which first appeared at last season’s Paris Fashion week. Official images of the sneaker have not been released and they are heavy on the pink. While not to everyone’s taste these will fit in with well with any full Comme fit. In total there are three variations on the sneaker.

All three color ways are now available at SSENSE.

Nike made a splash with the return of the Air Max 98 in 2016. The release of OG color ways as well as three colors for the collab they did with Supreme showed that there was a market out there for faithful recreations of the shoe. Now in 2018, Nike is releasing two great colors in celebration of the shoe’s 20th anniversary. First off is the tour yellow version pictured above and a bright blue/red released nicknamed “Gundam” which you can see after the jump. These look like they’ve kept true to the originals in terms of materials and should appeal to the segment of their consumer base who prefers faithful recreations to new iterations on the style using modern tech. I’m all for the 98 coming back and it’s looking like this year will net even more versions of the sneaker later in the year. Look for both these sneakers to drop at Nike retailers after Jan 17.

The Vapormax was certainly one of the most popular new sneakers in 2017. After releasing the shoe in nearly every color way possible, Nike is able to move on and update the sneaker with a version 2.0 model.  An early preview reveals a black color way with a clear sole as we’ll as a tan version on the way. Expect these early next spring in a boat load of options. While not drastically different, if you liked Vapormaxes before you’ll probably get something you like here as well.  In other Nike news, their holiday sale is still ongoing with up to 50% off select items.
