New Balance 911 Made in UK Yellow/Blue

New Balance brings out an ideal color combination for fall weather with this new New Balance 911 colorway. This Made in the UK model stays true to the brand’s heritage with a combination of grey mesh and mustard yellow suede. Hints of blue on the logo and tongue round up a solid color trio. It’s nice to see New Balance place more emphasis on the 911 which is definitely a sleeper hit in their lineup.

Affix x ASICS Novablast

Affix applies their brand of modernized workwear to another pair of Asics with this Novablast collaboration. The sneaker has been The sneaker has been reworked into two colorways, that should fit right in with any of the apparel from Affix. The first colorway features “Strobe Blue,” while the second comes in “Mineral Brown.” both colorways sit atop a full-length FlyteFoam cream midsoles.

The sneakers will be available directly through the AFFIX webstore on July 10 before releasing at select retailers like END on July 17.

Nike Zoom Double Stacked Volt

Zoom Air has become Nike’s premier cushioning system in their cutting edge running program and they’ve taken that technology to present an eye catching design in the form of the Nike Zoom Double Stacked. In particular this ‘barely volt’ color way of the shoe hides some of the swoosh branding and juxtaposes it against the striking wedge-like double sole. There’s Zoom cushioning in the sole and the breathable mesh makes this a comfortable summer choice.  Look for these to drop on July 2 through select Nike outlets.

WTAPS x New Balance 992 Sneaker

 

WTAPS has been noted for their memorable footwear collaborations over the years and now they’re set to release an excellent New Balance 998 iteration. If you’ve been looking for something new to step out in when your local quarantine is over then check this recolor of a classic New Balance model. Featuring an army inspired sage green and hits of cream, grey and a bright safety orange, these really bridge the gap between the look and feel of the two labels. Some subtle touches are the WTAPS embroidered logo on the heel as well as logo hits on the tongue and insole.

The collaborative 992WT from WTAPS and New Balance drops at select retailers including END on May 1.

Air Jordan 85′ High Bred ‘Flipped’

While 2019 was a flurry of collaborations and high profile releases, it seems that Jordan brand is going back to their archives with some of the releases this year. With the classic Jordan 1 becoming one of the most sought after retros in recent years, it’s nice to see that Jordan Brand is paying homage to the original with this release. The shape of this model is the closest to date we’ve gotten to the original ’85 classic. This flipped variation plays off the classic ‘Black/Red’ colorway seen on the banned Jordan 1s. The sneaker has gone to great lengths to preserve the feeling of the original, even re-creating the hang tags that was featured on the sneakers upon their original release. Jordan brand had to go back to their archives to find the original photo of MJ in order to recreate the look of that paper tag. These are sure to be high sought after and even more so considering their release is limited to a mere 23,000 pairs. Look for more release details to leak prior to their release in February.

A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Air Force 1 Low

A-COLD-WALL has really come into it’s own in 2018. After multiple collaborations with Nike already rolled out this year, the most anticipated is still yet to come in the form of this Air Force One. The sneaker deconstructs elements of the original model in order to  differentiate it from the typical colorways availble. Eyelets have been removed and the shoe uses a new eco-friendly flyleather technology which combines natural leather with recycled letter. A logo hit on the upper is and branded insole are little details also incorporated into the model. With a release date now confirmed for December 21 at select stockists including Nike SNKRS and Farfetch.

size? x Nike React Element 55

While the Nike React Element 87 has received much more praise and attention (deservedly so) than the Element 55, this is the first interesting model to come down utilizing the base model. The striking grid pattern is the first thing you notice followed by the colors which take inspiration from Nike’s original Escape Pack that dates back to 1988.  . The colors used take inspiration from the Windrunner, Lahar and Air Force III from that pack, but give it a modern feel with the nylon upper. Engineered Garments x HOKA One

Embarking on their second collaboration to date, Engineered Garments and Hoka One which are prepared to issue a selection of new running sneakers. The New York label has created a low-top version of the Hoka One Tor Ultra High Boots in three distinct color ways, tan, black and black/red. The shoe has a Vibram outsole, and breathable eVent technology which means the shoe will be breathable while keeping water out. The sneaker will be available at NEPENTHES and Engineered Garments on October 23.
