Asics has been busy with the collabs this year, using the popular Gel Lyte V model to collaborate with plenty of brands in the fashion industry and sneaker game. Before the year is out, eccentric Japanese label monkey time is set to release one of the hottest Gel Lytes of the year. The sneaker features a mix of high-quality nubuck on the upper and a Lyrca based inner sock. The contrasting sand-colored layers are styled together with monkey time pieces in a short editorial and video clip made to promote the release.

Living most my life in Toronto, it’s hard to believe that Nomad has been open for 10 years now. I still remember the first time visiting the boutique at the old Richmond street block (rip Goodfoot). From then til now the store has been a leader in Toronto and Canada’s men’s clothing scene. To commemorate a decade in the biz Nomad has teamed up on a small collection of collaborative pieces. They include several long button downs by Robert Geller, a bomber from CMMN SWDN and a wings+horns M-51 Fishtail parka. Nike Gyakusou returns for another cold weather season under the direction of Jun Takahashi. As per usual there’s enough here to build full running outfits, from the sneakers to layering pieces and outerwear. This time out, Jun kits out the Nike Free 2.0. Among the other highlight items are the long-sleeved Sweatmap shirt and the Aeroloft vest, stuffed with 800-fill down. Also worth noting are a pair of running gloves.

Boston sneaker mecca Concepts has a history of strong collaborations after dropping a several highly sought after New Balances. The latest endeavor is a collaboration with Italian sneaker company Diadora. The sneaker uses the base N.9000 model and transforms it to reflect the unique traits of the former Italian currency known as the Lira. The colorway of subtle green and off-white and beige low-key mimic the look and feel of the paper currency and even the reflective tongue itself is a play on the holographic security marking.
