Hender Scheme ‘Post Modern’ Collection

Hender Scheme has made a name for itself by putting out extremely high quality handmade sneakers. While most of the shapes are borrowed from classic 90’s sneakers, there is no substitute for the quality of natural leather and hand-stitching found on their models. The Spring/Summer ‘Post Modern’ includes their take on the IV, an Air Force and a tan natural leather version of the Nike Presto. With no external branding and attention to detail down to the leather laces, these will set you back a good stack but they are sure to last for years. Expect to find them online at their usual outlets – Need Supply, END and Mr.Porter.

NikeLab ACG Lupinek Flyknit Low

The ACG Lupinek first made an appearance last winter in the form of a snowboot. The design has been tweaked and now will be releasing as a low-cut sneaker. Distinctive elements of the original design made thier way over in the translation: the VAC-TECH mud guard, Phylon midsole and a perforated tongue really help this sneaker stand out. Available in two stylish flyknit treatments – dark grey and grey/white, look for the Lupinek to release online and at select Nike Lab outlets. The only downside of the shoe is it’s hefty $275USD pricepoint.

wings + horns x New Balance MT580 Lookbook

Canadian athletic wear experts wings+horns have teamed up with New Balance in the past with excellent results. Their pursuit is a MT580 being released to commemorate the model’s 20th anniversary. The shoe comes in a natural and a black colorway, fabricated from premium leather and suede. The modern three-piece silhouette features laser-cut panels of premium leather is teamed up with a Neoprene mesh sock liner. Along with the release wings+horns finessed a lookbook showcasing the sneaker to go with the release. Look for these to launch May 28 at select wings + horns and New Balance retailers.

His unconventional approach to streetwear has attracted a dedicated cult following. While Reebok may not be the hottest sneaker brand in 2016, it’s classic sneaker models hold a great deal of nostalgia and history in their design.
