Hender Scheme has made a name for itself by putting out extremely high quality handmade sneakers. While most of the shapes are borrowed from classic 90’s sneakers, there is no substitute for the quality of natural leather and hand-stitching found on their models. The Spring/Summer ‘Post Modern’ includes their take on the IV, an Air Force and a tan natural leather version of the Nike Presto. With no external branding and attention to detail down to the leather laces, these will set you back a good stack but they are sure to last for years. In the midst of the Nike Presto revival we’ve seen this year, Hender Scheme has quietly previewed their upcoming take on the iconic sneaker. Shifting the materials and construction to the raw untanned leather typical of the Japanese label brings the design full circle from an ahead of it’s time technical design to now a nostalgic and handcrafted ode to the 2000 Nike classic.
