While I didn’t like Visvim SS15 offering at all, Fall/Winter 2015 proved to be one of the labels best collections in some time. So far the follow-up seems to be quite promising with what’s shown in this new editorial in SENSE magazine. There’s a promising red anorak as well as a tan colored technical trench. Consider this a teaser for the full SS16 lookbook which should be dropping soon on the Visvim site. Look for product to start arriving online at shops including Mr.Porter, SSENSE, END and Haven.
Japanese streetwear experts Sophnet are coming off their 20th anniversary in 2015. They continue their momentum with their seasonal editorial in Japanese magazine SENSE. This time around Spring/Summer 2016 features a mix of more discrete staples (button-ups and trousers) alongside the more street side of things covered by hoodies, crewnecks , and a camo varsity jacket. If you’re looking to pickup pieces, the label really is able to contribute to more standard streetwear type outfits (think denim , hoodies and bombers) as well as mixing with more done-up looks (think of wearing Sophnet with Thom Browne, Visvim or Nanamica). Look for items to be releasing online soon at retailers END Clothing, Haven and Supply Store

SENSE presents this preview of spring/summer 2013 COMME des GARCONS Junya Watanabe Man and eYe collections. From first glance the color palette is full of light warm weather pastels and khakis. The shirting comes in an assortment of stripes, patterns and floral prints that are sure to be popular. As expected Junya collaborated with an assortment of brands for SS13, this includes the Champion sweatshirt material riders jacket and the Levi’s denim shown above. Most interestingly Pointer Brand is crafting a special coverall piece. My favorite items from this collection are the down varsity jacket and the two pairs of red and blue denim that I would love to see in person. Something I can’t give a pass to are the long past the knee black denim shorts. Thankfully the rest of the collection has enough promise to forgive and forget.
