When it comes to leather motorcycle jackets Schott is the de-facto standard. The makers of the original Perfecto model have teamed up with Neighborhood to deliver this excellent One Star Leather Jacket. The quality of the leather looks incredibly on this jacket that is sure to last for years and continue to be a workhorse item in your closet. Details include Talon zippers (which are no longer standard issue on regular Schott mainline Perfectos), custom branded buttons and a custom lining. All this doesn’t come cheap at a retail price of $2315 USD but if you have stacks burning a hole in your pocket, you gotta respect a jawn like this when you see it.

My friend Wilbert Cooper wrote a piece for VICE on the history of the Schott ‘Perfecto’ motorcycle jacket for Vice. In it he reflects on the brand’s 100 years of heritage and the jacket’s place in cultural history. Little known fact was that the  Irving was the first clothier to put a zipper on a jacket all the way back  in 1925. History indeed.
