The North Face has been expanding their collaborative program finding select talent around the world to utilize the company’s considerable resources and production methods to craft new approaches to technical outerwear. North Face Black is a sub-line that is offered at select retailers at a premium pricepoint. For the latest collection, The North Face have tapped Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi to remix a variety of classic winter items, including parkas and mountain jackets to branded tees and climbing pants. The collection is quite cohesive , favoring a black, navy and olive green palette. The pieces have a vintage feel to them and utilize fabric technologies including Primaloft and Pertex to flip Kuraishi’s patterns into something functional.
