Sacai x Pendleton GRIND Magazine Editorial

Sacai’s newest endeavor is a triple collab in tandem with heritage textile brand Pendleton and Dr.Woo. To properly showcase the collection, GRIND Magazine has teamed up with famed Japanese stylist stylist Masataka Hattori and actor Yōsuke Kubozuka. The deconstructed pieces utilize classic Pendleton fabrics to craft pieces including a military style jacket and denim-bomber hybrid jacket. Other standout items include wide-cut plaid trousers and a wool mockneck sweater. Look for items to drop from the collection at Sacai stockists including SSENSE and Farfetch.

Cav Empt x Nike Capsule Collection

A collaboration that’s been rumored for once finally has images and a release date. Tokyo based C.E is teaming up with Nike to develop something that should feel familiar to anyone who’s followed the streetwear label in the past few years. The focal point of the collection is the Air Max 95s which feature a pixelated digital-camo feel. Available in navy and a white/black colorway the sneaker replaces the traditional AIRMAX badge with the CE logo.

To compliment the footwear, the brand is also releasing a series of athletic minded items including a track jacket, track pants, a jersey, a cap and a vest. The brand confirms a drop on January 5th on the Cav Empt website as well as their Tokyo location, with a wider release through Nike stockists including Wellgosh.

A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Air Force 1 Low

A-COLD-WALL has really come into it’s own in 2018. After multiple collaborations with Nike already rolled out this year, the most anticipated is still yet to come in the form of this Air Force One. The sneaker deconstructs elements of the original model in order to differentiate it from the typical colorways availble. Eyelets have been removed and the shoe uses a new eco-friendly flyleather technology which combines natural leather with recycled letter. A logo hit on the upper is and branded insole are little details also incorporated into the model. With a release date now confirmed for December 21 at select stockists including Nike SNKRS and Farfetch.

Sasquatchfabrix Spring/Summer 2019 Collection

I’ve been a fan of the unique approach Sasquatchfabrix brings to design for some time. They focus a lot on fabrics and bridging traditional Japanese styles with more modern concepts. Their latest collection is for spring/summer 2019 and titled ‘NANPOU’ which translate to southbound. The offering includes a mix of traditional styles like the hoari coat, the noragi jacket and hakama trousers. The styling incorporates those styles and and mix them with bright floral prints, accessories and easy summer items. Bringing looks for men and women, in a mix of tonal tans and olives alongside pops of bright reds and purples, there’s no lack of contrast available. The collection also shows off upcoming collaborations with the likes of Suicoke and Asics. Look for items to drop in the next coming weeks at stockists including Farfetch and SSENSE.

Paris based brand Harmony has released a lookbook highlighting a series of clean looks from their Fall/Winter 2018. Inspired by the iconic counterculture writer Jack Kerouac, the collection translates classic men’s staples and modernize them with a comfortable trim fit. With just enough character to avoid feeling generic, the items including denim shirting, lambswool sweaters and Prince of Wales Check overcoats. Best of all the items are affordable , coming in a reasonable price point .

While the Nike React Element 87 has received much more praise and attention (deservedly so) than the Element 55, this is the first interesting model to come down utilizing the base model. The striking grid pattern is the first thing you notice followed by the colors which take inspiration from Nike’s original Escape Pack that dates back to 1988. . The colors used take inspiration from the Windrunner, Lahar and Air Force III from that pack, but give it a modern feel with the nylon upper. UNDERCOVER’s Polartec Fleece Collection

New from Undercover’s FW18 “Order/Disorder” offerings are these Polartec equipped fleece items. The graphics continue the 2001 Space Odyssey theme that’s prevalent throughout the collections. Among the items available are hoodies, overcoats and pants featuring nylon paneling a typography. A subtle and utilitarian option for the winter makes these items an easy pickup. Last season saw a slew of new Salomon models come as result of their on-going collaboration with 11 by Boris Bidjan Saberi. The new BBS Solomon features the return of the familiar Hi-Top Bamba 2 but also features something brand new in the Bamba 3. The unlikely pairing of aesthetics once again incorporates the technical feel of Salmon and the weathered industrial feel of BBS designs. In terms of detailing, each boot features a technical jersey and coated textile upper, a concealed zip-and-lace closure, a Contragrip rubber sole, and buffed leather trim.
