Anticipation for the release of the Adidas Tubular runner has steadily climbed and now that day is here (at for those of you in Europe). Hype first started building through blurry leaked photos of the sneaker allegedly linking the design to the forthcoming Kanye West ‘Yeezi’ collection. Since then we’ve seen a steady flood of news and photos from sneaker and streetwear websites, basically billing the shoe as a brokeboy version of the Adidas Y-3 Qasa. Seeing that the retail price of $110 is less than 1/3 the price of the Qasa, it’s no wonder that there’s so many people excited to rock these sneakers. The sneaker itself is an amalgamation of popular Adidas models; borrowing the sole unit from the aforementioned Y-3 Qasa and the back support from the ZX Flux. The sneaker is an attempt to update the Adidas classics line with a more minimal high-tech feel and in that goal it’s successful. My only criticism of the sneaker is that the branded front leather tab feels out of place and takes away from the other clean lines.
If you’re looking for these sneakers, they’re available at quite a few stockists worldwide. If you’re looking to cop online, I hope the below links help , note that not all the links will be live just yet. Expect them to sell out quickly but rest assured that more colorways of the sneaker are on their way and there should be more stock arriving at stores soon.
