New York based M5 Showroom has just launched their official web shop. A tightly curated roster of brands will be stocked including Stone Island, Herno, Begg & Co., Barena, TS(S), and President’s. The first look at the Spring/Summer C.E. season came from the video the Japanese label released a few months back. As items from the collection continue to roll out, this lookbook shows off some of the cases in more detail. Particular noteworthy items include the printed button-downs , cargo vest, corduroy jacket and the an all-over print overcoat.

GRIND Magazine may be my favorite streetwear magazine. The Japanese imprint offers some of the best styling and product features out there on a monthly basis. They have been big supporters of WTAPS since the magazine’s launch and the latest issue features a 90’s colleague vibe right down to the baggy pants.
Nike and Undercover continue their ongoing collaboration with a fresh season of Gyakusou. The spring edition brings bright pops of colors and a return of some classic prints from years past. As usual the technical aspect of the clothing utilizes Nike technologies like Dri-FIT and AeroReact. The sneaker this time around is the LunarEpic Low Flyknit 2. The best pieces from the collection are the striped track jackets that utilize the leaf camo.

With so many menswear shows and lookbooks released already for Fall/Winter 2017, I’ve done the tough work of looking through them to find some of the best looks thus far. While looking through collections can be great to find future grails and items you’d like to purchase come this fall, it can also just be an effective source of inspiration for putting together new looks for yourself. The styling in collections tends to be a bit out there for everyday wear so feel free to pick and choose aspects of these looks to try out yourself this year.
The Fall/Winter 2017 from Undercover is based around the theme of the Brain Washed generation. The pieces themselves cover all the essentials from tailored pieces to footwear and accessories and heavy weather parkas. There are many patterned items with graphic flourishes displayed but there are also a ton of more muted tonal looks in here. As always there are some signature Jun Takahashi design details such as the leather sleeves on the asymmetrical down jacket. The inclusion of oversized and downright baggy looks in this collection is a welcome departure to the usual UC formula as well.

Fans of Guerrilla Group’s offerings have been patiently waiting for the latest EYES&SINS collection from the collective. The FW16 collection is here and entitled THE SLEƎPER. The collection takes inspiration from a little known cold war Soviet clandestine operation explained on their site. The actual pieces themselves once again extend the mix of techwear and militarism we’ve gotten to know. Some of the more interesting pieces including beefed up winter noragi and also a technical apron piece similar to what you might see welder’s use.
While a couple pieces have been spotted on the site for sale, expect the entire collection to be available later tonight on the GFIRMG site.
No stranger to sublines, Jun Takahashi is ready to release the first collection of the shepherd. The collection is a more tailored and mature take on what Undercover usually does. The first collection is modeled by none other than Thom Yorke (a close friend of Jun’s).

Dominate was one of the most interesting brands to emerge out of Asia in the past year. The Indonesian based streetwear label continues it’s cold weather roll out with a second drop. There’s a lot of militaristic influence here from the ‘souvenir’ jacket style embroidery to army-style fonts screened on the back of bdu shirt-jackets. Keep an eye out on their website for more. Undercover returns this season for a second round of collaborations with Supreme. The line this year is even more expansive than last years selection. The typical selection of branded typographic graphics is back along with some suprises (a doc martin boot, supreme GILApple and a reversible bomber). Graphic zip and pullover hoodies, tees, an all over coaches jacke, bondage pant and a wool coat are some of the other options available this time around. While the fit and production looks to come from Supreme, expect the line to sell out immediately regardless. Personally I think this collection is a step up from last years, and I have a feeling we might see this become a yearly thing similar to the CdG x Supreme capsules. Whether it’s worth the resell pricing or the hassle is up to you.
The collection will be available at Supreme’s in-store locations in New York, Los Angles, London, Paris, as well as its online store from September 22. Japan will see a September 24 launch date.
