The brainchild of PTP record label head honcho Geng, ESP (East Side Powerviolence) is a new secretive garment producer.
Among the pieces being dropped are a coaches jacket, sweaters, crewnecks and an embroidered baseball cap. The latest release will be available on September 21 at 12PM EST on the official ESP shop – you can follow ESP on Instagram for more info on this drop and what’s in store for the future.

If you are in New York and interested at all in underground club music you might be familiar with the series of parties under the DWMS moniker. The good squad at Purple Tape Pedigree (PTP) has been once again assembled an A team of selectors with a heavy emphasis on UK flavor this time around. The set list also includes Rushmore from Trax Couture and two heavy hitters (Fraxinus and Kid Antoine) from the Her Records squad doing a back to back set. Progressive grime sounds by Murlo (Mixpak) will make their mark on what should be a very epic night at Palisades. New York footwork representers Tripletrain will be on hand to ignite the proceedings in typical frenetic fashion.
This all goes down this Saturday, May 23. Hit this link for all the event info you need.
Third Looks teams up with PTP (Purple Tape Pedigree) for our second collaborative effort. On the heels of the TLxPTP ‘Pill’ Hood comes the more reverse weave goodness in the form of the new ‘Wifey’ hoody. Taking inspiration from the one and only Kiko Mizuahara; actress, model and dream wifey for countless humans on this planet.
The crewnecks are printed on heavyweight reverse weave Champion® sweatshirts and also feature subtle logo details on the sleeve and back. Profess your love for Kiko and all that’s good in the universe. Head over to PTP shop to secure one before they sell out for good.

This Saturday DWMS4 hits Palisades in Bushwick. Those who have been to past events know to expect an awesome crowd and high quality audio and visual output all night. Included in the lineup is PTP’s own Celestial Trax (who dropped the previously covered “Verticals” track) making his first proper on-stage debut in the US. Jubilee (Mixpak) and Fiinesse (Thread/Cartel Music) will be laying down club rhythms while Portland’s own SPF666 (Club Chemtrail) and MikeQ (Fade To Mind/Qween Beat) are combining forces for very rare back to back set. Word has also surfaced that there will be a surprise, special guest joining from across the pond. If you’re in New York and a fan of underground electronic music, you should know that this is not to be missed.

I’m proud to present the lookbook for the debut collection from New York based label Purple Tape Pedigree. The 5-piece capsule ‘Good For Health’ collection includes 2 jerseys, 2 long-sleeve t-shirts, and a collaborative PTP x Third Looks ‘Pill’ coach’s jacket. The lookbook was creative directed by yours truly and we assembled a diverse group of friends and colleagues to represent the collection. No stylists were necessary as each person worked the pieces into their own personal style.
Inspiration for the collection includes Hong Kong cinema, Japanese anime from the 80’s, 20th century Brazilian surrealist art, post-2000 A.D. cyberpunks, and the onset of big city paranoia. The gear is available now on the PTP Garment District. New York heads will be able to see the gear in person at a special pop-up event and release party on May 31st (More details to be released shortly).

In commemoration of the forthcoming Third Looks x PTP (Purple Tape Pedigree) collaboration we are proud to present this video teaser .
We pulled clips from one of our favorite animated films AKIRA and set them a relentless audio bombardment by StationStation. More information on the collaboration will be dropping this week. You’ll have a chance to wear official Third Looks gear very very soon.
If you visit this site reguarly Note and Geng Grizzly are familar faces by now. They’ve both had style profile features here in the past and I recently reviewed some beers with them in the recent Craft Beer Goons joint. Between the events, new releases through Purple Tape Pedigree and their weekly radio show Fresh Out the Box it’s safe to say the homies got alot on their plate.
Later this week I’ll be dropping an official Third Looks mix by Geng Grizzly. Come celebrate it’s release this Saturday July 13 at DWMS2 where I will be hosting alongside some musical heavy hitters. There will be performances by Young Gleesh, Grande Marshall and DJ Sets by Geng, Mista Whoa, Tommy Kruise and Farrington G. This is one you will NOT want to miss. All the details on the event can be found HERE.
To shed a little more light on both prolific members of PTP , I sat down with the homies and interviewed them on some key topics including personal style, favorite film and their current taste in music.

America – home of freedom, capitalism, and some amazing craft beers. In a new feature the PTP crew (Note D and Geng Grizzly) and myself rate a variety of the craft beers available on the market in honest no-holds-barred fashion. Trust us, we don’t like everything, but we know a good beer when we come across one. Put down that Budweiser and treatyourself to a new brew this weekend, you won’t regret it. No hops were harmed in the making of these reviews and everything in this feature can be purchased from Good Beer (422 E 9th St, New York, NY). This time around we review the following:
Firestone Walker’s Reserve Porter
Dogfish Head : namaste
Wild Onion Hop Slayer Double IPA
Rogue Farms: Grow the Revolution OREgasmic Ale
Without further ado let’s get drinking. Read the reviews after the jump
