The current season of Raf Simons, sees the designer bringing back some classic graphics from Peter Saville’s Archive. Amongst the most striking pieces is this simple red hoodie that uses the cover artwork for ‘Technique’ – the fifth studio album by New Order. A thick cotton jersey hoodie, the piece is a modern re-telling of Raf’s long history collaborating with Peter Saville.

This video is the first in a series on the language of data and its impact on culture. The videos have been created for the VISUALIZED conference, Nov 8 & 9, 2012, in New York City.To celebrate, VISUALIZED interviewed graphic designer Peter Saville about his iconic cover art for Joy Division‘s 1979 debut, Unknown Pleasures. The video touches on the image’s origin, usage and lasting impact.
