Are $400 Sweatpants Ever Worth It?

Nike has done an excellent job in recent years of segmenting their brand by creating various sub-lines (Nike Sportswear, Nike ID, Nike SB among them). In an attempt to bring more fashion-forward concepts to a sportswear consumer, Nike NSW White Label has been created. The label has limited distribution and a price-point that may shock long-time Nike loyalists. This may be my favorite pair of sweatpants I’ve seen all year but I had to hesitate hitting that cop button due to a retail price well into the mid-hundreds.That being said I can’t say these wouldn’t be worth it. The fit looks excellent, slim (not skinny) with a slight tapered cuff. Apparently pants are made in Italy from a cotton-blend fabric with slash pockets on the hips and a luxe paneled construction. This is as close as you can get to fooling the world that you’re wearing trousers not swepants. I might have hesitated at buying these but that doesn’t mean you have to.
