Shop Profiles are a new feature on Third Looks focused on introducing unique retail experiences worldwide. In them expect to see visuals that capture the staff, spaces and product found in these stores. Nomad has been a store that is a cornerstone to the men’s fashion scene in Toronto as well as one of my absolute favorite places to shop.

Before Nomad there weren’t many multi-label stores in the city that guys could go for brands such as APC, Wings + Horns and Common Projects. The shop recently moved from it’s original Richmond location to a larger space at 819 Queen St. The buildout maintains some of the natural-wood elements of the original Nomad shop and carries an distinctly Canadian ambiance. I’m really proud of Zeb and the whole team at Nomad for outfitting some of Toronto’s most stylish.

See below for more shots of the interior and portraits of some of the Nomad family.

    Great shop!

Too bad a majority of the staff are pricks when you’re in there and they talk/swear like sailors when consumers are shopping. I can’t even walk in there with my little girl.

I’m going to have to disagree with Erik… I’ve never had any problem with the staff, ever. I’ve been going to Nomad for over five years now, and people like Duncan, Jay and Nick have never hesitated to answer any questions, or just talk shop.

Solid dudes, solid shop, solid goods.

Zeb, Matt, UF team, keep up the great work.

Like I said, a majority, not all. And you’re right, you can get good service there but for a shop on the higher end of the spectrum, they should be more aware of their language and who’s around them.

  • Mike R

Can’t argue with you on the language point. I’d chalk it up to culture, but if they’re going for a boutique/high-end fit, their language should match it.
